A convenient way to include milk thistle extract in a daily routine

Milk thistle is a plant that has been traditionally used in supplement routines for many years. It naturally contains a group of compounds known as silymarin, which are commonly associated with its use in food supplements.

In this formula, we use a 40:1 concentrated milk thistle extract, standardised to provide 80% silymarin. This means the extract is carefully processed to ensure consistent levels of the naturally occurring compounds found in the plant.

By using a concentrated extract rather than raw powder, this supplement provides a convenient way to include milk thistle as part of your daily routine, with a focus on consistency and reliable strength in every serving.

When should I take this supplement?

Many people prefer taking Milk Thistle tablets with food and a glass of water as part of their daily routine. Taking them at the same time each day can help build consistency.

This supplement can be taken in the morning or during the day with some food, depending on personal preference.

Can I take this with other Supplements?

Milk thistle is often taken alongside other supplements as part of a balanced routine.

As we pack lots of goodness into each product, it’s worth checking you’re not doubling up on similar ingredients across multiple supplements.

If you are taking medication, have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are unsure, we recommend speaking with a healthcare professional before use.

How should I take this?

This supplement should be taken as shown on the product label, with water and preferably with food.

The tablets are designed to be easy to take as part of your daily routine.

Some customers who find tablets difficult to swallow choose to crush them and mix them into foods such as yoghurt or smoothies. However, we would always recommend taking the tablets as suggested on the product label where possible.

Fillers or bulking agents?

We keep our formulas as clean, natural and affordable as possible.

This product includes microcrystalline cellulose, which helps keep ingredients evenly distributed so each tablet contains the correct amount of active ingredient. It is a natural plant fibre commonly used in foods and supplements to help tablets form consistently.

It also contains dicalcium phosphate, a compound made from calcium and phosphorus, which are naturally occurring minerals found in foods such as dairy products, grains and certain vegetables. In supplements, it is used to help provide structure and stability to tablets, ensuring they hold their shape and remain consistent from batch to batch.

In addition, a small amount of magnesium stearate is used. Magnesium stearate is a compound made from magnesium and stearic acid, a naturally occurring fatty acid found in foods such as coconut oil and cocoa butter. In supplement manufacturing it is used in very small amounts to help prevent ingredients from sticking to equipment during production. This helps ensure tablets are produced consistently and that each serving contains the correct amount of active ingredient.

Magnesium stearate is widely used across the supplement and food industry and is considered safe for use in the small amounts used in tablet production.

These ingredients make up less than 1% of the overall formula and are used to support quality, consistency and accurate dosing.

What does each serving contain?

Each daily serving provides:

Milk thistle extract – 4,000mg (from 100mg of a 40:1 extract, standardised to 80% silymarin)

A 40:1 extract means that 40 parts of the original milk thistle plant are used to produce 1 part of concentrated extract. This allows a higher level of the plant’s naturally occurring compounds to be delivered in a smaller serving.

This extract is also standardised to 80% silymarin, meaning it consistently contains a defined level of this key compound. Standardisation helps ensure reliable strength and consistent quality from batch to batch.

While extraction ratios reflect how concentrated an ingredient is, a higher or lower ratio does not automatically determine quality. The overall formulation, including the source of the ingredient, the level of standardisation and the amount used per serving, all play an important role.

NRV stands for Nutrient Reference Value, which helps show how much each nutrient contributes to daily intake. We focus on providing clear, transparent ingredient amounts so you can confidently include this supplement as part of your daily routine.

What is the size?
